Modern day pheromones.

Modern day pheromones.

I have a very sensitive sense of smell, and as such am really picky when it comes to my personal fragrance. I always apply memories to specific scents so, while I would love to have a one go-to fragrance, I just don’t think that will be possible. These two are my favorites, as of now. The one on the right is Tocca Florence. I discovered it in Sephora about four years ago and saved up for a while to get it (it was on the pricier side for my tastes—but completely worth it because one squirt is all you need, as it obviously lasts quite a while) According to Tocca’s website (www.tocca.com) The perfume’s fragrance consists of:

Top Notes: Italian Bergamot, Grapefruit Leaves, Green Pear, Apple
Middle Notes: Ivory Gardenia, Crushed Violet Petals, Jasmine, Tuberose, Blue Iris
Bottom Notes: Blonde Wood, White Musk

Considering the fact that 2 of my all time favorite scents, gardenia and jasmine, are involved its no surprised I fell for this floral fragrance hard.

The Coco Mademoiselle on the left is a more recognizable one for most people, because we have seen the ads, starring Keira Knightley, everywhere. (Natalie Portman represents the regular Coco line.) Unfortunately I cannot find a list of its fragrance mixture anywhere. According to the Chanel website (www.chanel.com) it is a, “Sexy, fresh Oriental fragrance [that] recalls the irrepressible spirit of the young ‘Coco’ Chanel.” Umm, okay.

I do find it quite spicy and grown up, and although I absolutely hated it when I first smelled it on someone else (some say it has patchouli notes to it—and I can’t stand too much of that fragrance) it grew on me after awhile.

These two fragrances are as opposite as they come, but I love them both for they certainly inspire both my naughty and nice side!

What are your favorite fragrances to wear? Do you have a favorite fragrance for your partner to wear?

I’m not gonna lie, but a great smelling guy is dead sexy. (No, guys this does not mean take a bath in the stuff, one spritz is enough—trust me!)
